Vintage English Embossed Brass Farmhouse Horse Motif Fireplace Kindling Box

An Embossed Brass over Wood Fireplace Kindling Box, c.1970. This Kindling Box would look exceptional while displayed in a Fireplace in an array of interior styles. The solid wood box is finished in brass plating throughout. The brass shows stunning embossed motifs, including a farmhouse horse scene upon front and top. The hinged lid opens and closes as it should and includes an aluminum support chain to keep support the top while opened. The inside is clean and shows the exposed wood construction of the box. The underside of the Box is unsigned or marked.
Condition:
This Kindling Box was exceptionally well made, it's both solid and sturdy. Tarnishing, surface rust and patina is shown to the brass from age, most notably upon the top lid.
