Dated from 1880, these brick were hand made from clay. The clay was first excavated from the ground and left to soften in the elements through the Ohio winter. Once spring arrived, teams of horses were walked over the clay to break down even further. The clay was then put into molds by hand, set to dry in the sun before fired in a kiln, and eventually ready for delivery and installation.
These brick are becoming harder to find as more old buildings are being demolished and sent to landfills. If you are looking for a vintage an aged look for your home brick project, then these brick are the right fit!
