This is a great piece
that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
It is made of walnut and is painted.
The shelf is trimmed in reel and bead molding and supported by 4 fluted corbels.
The corbels at the ends have fluted and turned columns below and applied carved flowers on the sides.
There are 2 corbels on the breast dividing it into 3 sections each with a wonderful carved fan.
Overall it is 66.5 inches wide by 51 tall and 11.75 deep.
The opening is 44 inches wide by 36 tall.
Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning.
One of the moldings from the firebox is missing. Please look at the pictures carefully.

My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
