    Description

    Description
    This is a great piece
that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
It is made of chestnut and is painted.
The upper shelf is supported by 2 turned columns that sit on corbels with beaded molding on the faces.
There is a back splash with Eastlake spoon carving above the shelf.
The oval beveled mirror is trimmed in beaded molding.
The lower shelf is supported by 2 corbels with turned fluted columns below.
There are great applied carvings on the breast.
Overall it is 48.25 inches wide by 79.75 tall and 9.75 deep.
The opening is 35.75 inches wide by 36.25 tall.
Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning.
There are scratched and a ding to the upper shelf. The mounting boards need to be screwed back on. The dark spots are peeling paint not wood damage. Please look at the pictures carefully.

    Terms of Sale
I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
    About Us
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting.  Steve and Michelle
