This amazing car is a culmination of a traditional, stylish build which features excellent paint and body work, fully reupholstered interior, and a Ford Flathead engine. The styling is just enough to make you take notice, and upon closer inspection, all the small details on the car begin to come out. There is no bad angle when looking at this car, the finish is impressive and all the details make it tough to direct your gaze away. This car is a piece of rolling Americana.
Of course the looks of a car like this are important, so a Brookfield all steel body was used to build this '32. Gloss Black paint was chosen for a final finish, which pairs nicely with the chrome accents, and red interior. The body sits on a Ball's Hot Rod Shop frame. A louvered hood sits above the Flathead engine, and is held down with ornate metal and leather straps. All the factory body lines and curves are prominent thanks to the mirror-like finish on the all steel body. A focal point when looking at this car are the 15" steel wheels trimmed with chrome beauty-rings and chrome 'V8' Ford hubcaps. The wheels are wrapped in Firestone tires. A canvas soft top was crafted for the car, which is easy to put on the car in a pinch.
To go with the beautiful exterior, the interior was reupholstered in red by Krist Customs of Fort Wayne Indiana. The fit and finish are top notch, with top notch materials being used. The bench seat, shift boot, and handbrake boot are all trimmed in leather. A Ford Deluxe three spoke banjo steering wheel, vintage style Stewart Warner gauges, polished handbrake, and polished shifter topped with a black shift knob are highlights of the interior. It's interior may be simple but the finish and details like tuck and pleat door panels, engine turned aluminum gauge trim, and binding on the edges of each piece of carpeting put this car a step above the rest.
Between the front wheels is a 59A Flathead engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine wears Edelbrock heads, topped by an Edelbrock intake manifold, and fed by a pair of Carburetors. The transmission is a T-5 Chevy S-10 unit, and a Halibrand quick-change rear end helps put the power to the pavement. SoCal Speed Shop brakes at the front have the classic finned aluminum look, but house discs to provide stopping power and good looks. Hedman "Hedders" look great and allow the engine to breathe a little better. You can't miss the chromed SuperBell front axle when looking at the car whether you're under the car or looking at this classic with the tires on the ground.
This piece of Americana is sure to impress whether static or rolling down the road. It has all the right touches including the Flathead V8, louvered hood, and custom tuck and pleat interior. All the details culminate in an awesome package, and lucky for you this special car is ready for a new home. There are no bad angles when looking at this car, and to many folks it's rolling art. About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
